A Bedfordshire business leader has spoken out to urge companies in Bedford to put their names forward for a prestigious customer service vote.
The SME Bedfordshire Business Awards includes a category for customer service that is decided entirely by votes from members of the public.
Bedfordshire’s branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is headline sponsor for the awards and the group’s chairman, Ian Cording, says excellent customer service is something every company in Bedford should aim for.
Ian, who lives in Bedford and has his business there, said: “I know for a fact that many Bedford companies provide excellent customer service and they should seriously consider entering. Winning a public vote on customer service would show that any business is recognised by the people who pay the bills – the customers!
“By campaigning for votes in your business and on social media you would show that you appreciate the importance of keeping customers happy, which has fantastic value in itself. That is even if they don’t win. Businesses that end up winning would be able to use that to the max… it’s a fabulous endorsement.”
The deadline for nominations for the SME Bedfordshire Business Awards’ customer service vote is 5pm on Monday, April 3, 2017. Then there will be a voting period running until Friday, May 5. The winner will be announced at the Grand Final on Wednesday July 12 at Bedford Corn Exchange.
